Building Something Similar to Tivo

Hello all,

Just a general question; Have any of you built something similar to a Tivo (and actually use it at home)? I came across http://www.mythtv.org And I was fascinated by it.

This site says that it can do most of what Tivo does (including pause/rewind live tv!). Has anyone tried this? Anyone have a good HOW TO or tutorial? What experiences do you have? Any information would be good! Thanks!

I've been using mythtv for years (and I like it a lot)

I run it on a laptop, and it's really the the only multimedia box I'll ever need.

An other easy way to install it is A.M.I.C.U.S project:

ATrpms.net has all rpms for Fedora.
