Buffer overflow bug bites Linux wireless component


FYI here.

This is exclusive to NDISwrapper. At the end of the article, it tells how to remedy the threat. If you have (k)(x)ubuntu-8.10, you'll need to check more info about this vulnerability here, regardless of your internet connection.

Its only relevant for people using ndiswrapper. Moreover its getting only hype!
But anyhow its a remote root exploit.
