/boot filling up

I recently upgraded kernels in my Redhat 7.2 machine and I noticed that my /boot is 92% full. How do I get rid of the older kernels I am no longer using to free up space in the fututre?

Um,

If you're not using them, why can't you just delelte them?
From within the /boot directory:
Code:
rm kernel_name

I wasn't sure if you could simply delete them from the /boot directory.

If they truly are "old", and you're not using them at all- yes, they can go. If you have any doubts, just move them to another directory as a backup until you are satisfied that everything works fine without them.

old kernels will also have old modules installed, so if the kernel is removed you'll want to remove the relevant module branch in /lib/modules/

and don't forget to remove the corresponding entries from your lilo.conf

(after having changed lilo.conf, you still have to enter "lilo" on the command prompt once to activate the new settings)
