Bluetooth file transfer with LG Voyager/VX10000 on F10

I'm new to bluetooth in Linux. I've got an LG Voyager phone and have successfully paired it using the Gnome Bluez applet on my laptop. I want to be able to transfer images and MP3s back and forth, but keep hitting brick walls in my attempts.

Different scenarios:
- On the laptop: Bluez applet > Send file to device. The laptop connects and the phone accepts the connection, but the transfer doesn't happen.

- On the laptop: Bluez applet > Browse files on device. I get a "Folder contents could not be displayed. Operation forbidden" error when it attempts to browse "/ on LG VX10000". I can understand they might not want folks to browse the root. Can the location be changed?

- On the phone: Bluetooth > Send Image. Message on phone says "Not supported by receiving device".

Ok, so how do I get all this to work?

I've got the same issue; Fedora 10, same phone, same errors, etc. etc. etc. I haven't found a solution anywhere else online, either. Here's the pisser: it worked in Fedora 9. I do believe that between F9 and F10, they changed to bluez from ????? It also doesn't work with the last F11 beta. I might give it a try with an F9 VM, and see if I can get it working again.
