It seems your bluetooth' device is not registered.

What do you get for 'dmesg |grep -i blue' & 'lsmod |grep -i blue' ;
Code:
sample output
# dmesg |grep -i blue
[    8.559439] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.18
[ 8.561664] Bluetooth: HCI device and connection manager initialized
[ 8.562762] Bluetooth: HCI socket layer initialized
[    8.563855] Bluetooth: L2CAP socket layer initialized
[ 8.564947] Bluetooth: SCO socket layer initialized

# lsmod |grep -i blue
bluetooth             251405  2 btusb
6lowpan_iphc            6524  1 bluetooth
rfkill                 15411  5 cfg80211,bluetooth,dell_laptop

Sorry for the delay.

These two messages need some investigation. The configuration file not found looks important. I don't have an Atheros adapter, so I have little experience with this device.

I will see what I can google on it, and try and post back.

This bug looks close.

-->https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...x/+bug/1451689

Open a terminal, as root, change directory to /lib/firmware/ar3k/ and run the command

ls -l, and post the results. It looks to me like the firmware file you need is not present, or corrupt.

This one looks like a match.

I had a look at Acer's web site, for your model. There are two bluetooth adapter drivers listed, one for an Intel adapter, and one for a Broadcom adapter.

Which adapter do you have? Open a terminal in linux, and run the command 'sudo lspci' copy and paste the results here. If this adapter is connected to the pci bus, then we have a chance of helping. If it is a USB adapter you plug in, tell us the make and model.

While you are in the terminal, also run the command 'sudo lsmod | grep blue' copy and paste the results here. That will tell us if you have any of the stuff loaded to talk to a blue tooth adapter.
Hello, can you help me?

sudo lsmod | grep blue

Hello Romans,

Can I help, possibly, however, first things first.

This is an older thread, form another OP, alejandroem. You are hijacking a thread, and that is discourged on this forum. You should open your own thread.

Next, you have provided no useful information; other than you have some bluetooth modules loaded. There is no description of what issue you have, or what hardware your are using. I have to guess, and that leads to a lot of wasted time.

You need to tell us what distro you are using, bitness ( 32 or 64 ) and the release.

Tell us what you have done to resolve your problem. Things like procedures you have tried, software updates that may have affected the results; basiclly as much as you know about the problem. If you are new to linux, thats fine, we help as many people as we can. Just remember we volentier our time and knowledge. We were all newbies once.
