Hi,

I've been trying to solve this annoying little feature of my new instal of Mandriva 2007, for a while now. I have just spent the morning trying various things and doing searches on here, but I havent had any success in solving the problem.

The problem.
I have a number of automounts in auto.data and they all work if I specify the server by IP address, but if I use their machine names, the mounts dont work.
The names are specified in /etc/hosts and I can ping them using these names, but the automounter doesnt pick them up. What am I doing wrong? This setup worked fine on my old mandrake 9.1 box.
