Ascii penguin

On MDK, the ascii penguin logo is on my console, and it gives some system information that I need to correct.

For some reason, it is showing the word AMD twice, and the word processor twice in the same sentence right after each other.

I was wondering if anyone knows what file this is read from so I can edit it.

ummm... is the penguin a boot-up log or a system-info prog?

hmm, yeah, that'll be the "linux_logo -c" thing in /etc/rc.local (sysinit?.. )

that data comes from /etc/issue, which is created in rc.local as well, just check what's going into issue....

if [ -x /usr/bin/linux_logo ];then
/usr/bin/linux_logo -c -n -f > /etc/issue
echo "" >> /etc/issue
else
> /etc/issue
fi
echo "$R" >> /etc/issue
echo "Kernel $(uname -r) on $a $SMP$(uname -m) / \l" >> /etc/issue
