Any idea how to easily create a new distro?

I know this might be a complicated question, but does anyone here know how to EASILY create a distro? In other words, take a prefabricated distro, like Damn Small, add programs to it, like OpenOffice, and then turn it into a bootable ISO? Answers and links are appreciated, thanks.

And I realize that it won't be as easy as I think.

I've tried an ungodly number of distrbutions. I kind of want to put one together that is perfect for me and for others like me without the stuff that we don't need.
