Hello

I have 2 harddrives on my machine, one with Linux and the other with Windows. I use lilo to boot into which one I want without any problems. However, I want to get rid of Windows and add that harddrive to Linux. How do I do this???

Thanks

Jon

easy.
as root in a term run fdisk /dev/hda (assuming that is your win drive)
then enter the command p to list the partitions on that drive.
either enter t for type to change all to type 83 or use the d to delete and a to add any you want.reboot and run mkfs /dev/hdax... x being any new partitions.Add these new partition/s to /etc/fstab so you can mount them.

I did, indeed, execute it as root. I just can't seem to get it to work.

Is /dev/hdb your second harddrive? What is the output of mount?

OK! I got it to work, but now what do I add to the /etc/fstab file so it will mount it? Can I name that drive something so I know where it is?

It was hdc not hdb. I took my cd writer out and it must have changed.
