Acrobat


Hey any guys out there using acrobat reader and found that your mouse not able to scroll?

I use xpdf, that works with the mousewheel just fine.

The Solution(tm) appears to be to use imwheel which is a utility that translates mouse wheel actions into keyboard events.

Yes, the wheel does not work in this old Motif program... IMHO, imwheel is a bad solution as it interferes with your normal mouse behaviour. Either use xpdf or live with the fact you won't have wheely bits until Adobe release a more modern version of Acrobat!

I run the full Adobe writter software using Win4Lin/Win95 on my Linux desktop. Works a treat. I often print to the Adobe printer and it generates postscript files that I then email from Linux.

No, it doesn't interfere with normal mouse behaviour if you change the config file according to the comments within to exclude applications by default.

But I agree that it was unsettling at first to find that already defined mouse wheel events changed behaviour. On the other hand it's a bit easier to get consistent mouse wheel bindings with imwheel than if you have to setup each application separately.
