I was going to post this in the Hardware section but its more of a general question, IMO.

I have currently in my system, two hard drives that contain:

hda: WinXP Pro & Mandrake 9.2
hdb: Fedora Core1 & FreeBSD 5.1-Release

I also have a CDRW installed on my 2 IDE channel as a Master. I want to install a new 3rd hard drive and the only place I can fit it is in slave position on the CDRW IDE line.

My question is, Is this going to pose any problems that I should know going in or will it fit comfortably as a slave drive acting as the 3rd hard drive?? Do I need to mess with any of my current settings before installing the drive?? Or is this just not possible??

You shouldn't have any problems installing the 3rd drive as a Slave on the Secondary controller.
