WineX problems with games REQ Cd

I have 2 problems, one with WineX when any game requires a CD to play, or requires more than one CD to install, and with umounting to put in another cd for install. IE. When installing Diablo 2, it asks for play disk, when i try to umount, it says its busy. When I umount -l, I the cd tray will not open and i have to kill X to get the damn cd out. The problem with WineX is when I place the play cd into the tray and try to play the game it says "wrong cd", but when I am root I do not have this problem. Thanks for the help!

For the correct way of installing a game with multiple CD's with Wine(x), read this:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...273#post894273

Never ever force an umount in Linux, it can be harmful nor need to kill X like that. Check the link above . Some games may ask for the CD-play disk even if you have the CD on the drive. This is because wine(x) is sometimes unable to pass through some games' copy protection. An alternative is to download a "crack" even if you have the original game in order to make it to work. www.astalavista.com is a very well known search engine for cracks, serials and hacks

Good luck!
