Wine Install
I feel really bad asking this, but I need help installing Wine. I have done it before, and have not been able to this time. I read the readme at least ten times, followed it word by word, looked up how-to's online, searched for topics in this forum and one other and I cannot figure out how to do this. Ok:
I downloaded Wine-20050628 and decompressed it into a directory I simply called wine (and a thousand other names trying to get this to work). It had two folders, install and usr. The README says to run ./tools/wineinstall in the top-level directory, I would assume that this is the directory I called wine. The output was: bash: ./tools/wine: No such file or directory. My first though was, "must be in the wrong directory." So I tried just about every other directory under wine, to no avail. So I though I would just be a man and compile it....I ran ./configure in every directory as well, no luck. I cannot figure it out for the life of me. If you could point me in the way of a thourough tutuorial or help me out a little I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
