Slackware Regnum FPS lower then Win7

Computer:

AMD Phenom Quad Core 2.2 Ghz
6 Gbs Ram
9500 GT Nvidia card

Slackware 13.1, full install.

Dual booting Windows 7.

Playing Regnum Online in Windows 7, I can use shader module 4 and get upwards of 100 frames per second, however, in Linux, with the same version of driver for linux, Slackware only pumps out around 80-90...in a fixed pipeline. If I try shader 4 on Slackware, I get around 50 frames per second.

The difference is annoying and I have no idea whats wrong. I'm using ion3 window manager so there is no 3d rendering going on besides the game.

Any ideas?

Which version of the Nvidia driver are you using?

Honestly though, sounds like a bad port of the original DirectX code to OpenGL. I'd file a bug with Regnum Online.
