Initially I wasn't sure what botting was in relation to RO ... old BBS MUD players used to use pre-programmed keystrokes (macros) to get the jump on other players. But the resulting contest of programming finesse was part of the game.

I'm still amazed that people are still posting to the thread asking for a bot when the answer is already there. My conclusion is that botters are plain lazy and/or stupid.

I havn't asked for the thread to be killed (yet) because I think it serves well as a bad example. Also attracts useless posts someplace they can do no harm.

Now, if someone wanted to cheat creatively...

It won't really do much good. Botters in RO typically get banned quite a few times, they just make more accounts.

For the record, this thread is probably the worst one I have ever seen on LQ. Just putting that out there.

If your configuration is not working, yet you are using one of the working configs in the thread or links from the thread, then it means that the game server is probably on to you.

Botting is cheating after all.

Now, follow the link called "long advise" in my sig, read it, understand it, then come back and improve your question. There is no way to help you as it is.

But - beware - they won't like many of the above posts there either.

Not: your bots keep breaking because the game servers keep getting modified... to make it hard to use bots. It's an arms race.
