hi ive been browsing these forums for while no and i think there great and have helped a lot just by me useing the search and reading other ppls posts.
ok i was wondering if it is possible for me to run Tactical ops(UT mod) in winex/wine that is already in installed into a folder on my windows drive?
thing is i dont have the UT CD and ive just been using a copy of the ut folder and it runs great, so would i really need to install the game again to get it to run?
i havnt tried this yet, but if i put the UT dir in the fake windows drive of wine then hopefully it would work.
it would be easier to reinstall it on your linux system with winex... main reason being.. winex emulates teh registry in a file called registry.ini or something like that.
So simply put no you will not be able to run it without some modifications to that file most likly
It's very feasible to do it, but, like the above poster mentioned, it's probably better to install it on your Linux partition. Give it a try, if it doesn't work, well then, install it on Linux .
