Majesty Network Compatibility

I remember hearing somewhere that the Linux version of Majesty is *NOT* network playable with the Window Version. Can anyone with the Linux version confirm this?

I happen to have v1.4 Standard. Which doesn't seem to work in Cedega very well. But apparently v1.4 Gold does. So I'm planning on investing in the Gold edition (Heck, I want the Northern Expansion anyways). Now, there's good reasons for getting the windows version, and there's good reasons for getting the linux version... but when it comes down to it, I'd rather get the Linux version *IF* I can play with those who have the windows version. Hence my question.

If anyone has tried it and knows can you reply to this? I really don't want to buy the Linux version only to find out it won't play nicely with others and then have to buy the Windows version on top.

Thanks.
