Lineage II - server on Linux / Unix
Hi, I work as system administrator in an Internet Cafe and we want to deploy a Lineage II server in Linux. Does anyone know if there are the installation files anywhere, or even can be bought?
Lineage server is a complex software and it requires a lot of server resources.
My provider runs it on P4 with 2 gigs of RAM and it still crashes because of low memory.
So, I am sure there is no linux port. You can try run win32 version using wine/cedega.

Money is not an issue... I have seen an HP Proliant ML370 with 8Gigs crashing every hour... That means that all depends on the software configuration. Can you give an example of hardware / software configuration? Do you mind asking who is your provider?
I live an a small country of Moldova, so my provider have a few hundreds customers... it is not AOL or similar
You can find everything available about la2 server on la2.starnet.md (it's in russian and romanian languages)
Lineage 2 was only ever emulated through Win32, they never ported it into Linux, as to why I'm not sure it makes very little sense to me.. but yeah, it's only for Win32 sorry.
