Half Life on linux?


Are there any binaries or patches for running half life under linux? Thanks for any help

i assume your talking about the client, and you'll need either
Wine or WineX to run it .. .

yeah, but are there any ports? I don't want to run it in wine

There seem to be no ports of Half-Life to Linux (only the servers) - there are, however, a number of posts on how to get it working with Wine or WineX.

It appears to be: use Wine/X or Windows.

I heard somewhere that WineX is free via CVS, what is CVS?

its a sort of ftp for devellopers
but you can use it to get the latest wine
