I have just installed OpenSUSE 11 64-bit (KDE4) on my computer: Dell Dimension XPS 710 (Gaming Computer) with powerful Graphics Card, Sound Card, lots of ram and processing power, but I can't get the linux games to work (tux extreme racer, tuxcart, tuxpaint, and some other edutainment and games for kids), they start being executed but then they crash, and I don't get a crash popup or message. I forgot to mention that I have a Creative SB X-Fi Extreme Music card on my PC which is recognized by a utility called Hardware Info, it doesn't work with the OS, it doesn't have a driver, I have posted that on another thread, but that's something that could be happening to those games I guess.
Any ideas ?

Reason: sound card is not working, maybe that's why games won't run
I am using a DELL 19in LCD Monitor (1907FP) 1280X1024 native resolution, Could this be the problem ? Is there any additional setup to make them work no LCD displays ?

Reason: forgot to tell monitor resolution, might be an issue

Meet the same problems with my LCD screen. The problems are mainly the refresh rate with is too high and that it try to use
a resolution that is to low.
Have not yet find the solution .
It might be that the solution is recompiling the games.

I do not know about ieduarte73 but my 3D is running very good.
But a LCD has refresh rate 60 to 65 HRZ and if the games are written for CRT the refresh rate is much higher 80 Hrz or so
Mines warns with the message input not supported and refuse to play the game.
I was experiencing problems with the sound card, since I wasn't able to configure it because the lack of a proper driver for my system, some of the games relied on the sound card libraries to run, when this programs couldn't find them, the program crashed.
Now I was able to find a suitable driver for my sound card and most of the games started to work, I am still experiencing problem with some of them but I will look further for the konsole messages, and get in touch with the developer(s).
