Are you using Wine or Cedega???
Cedega will generall not pose a problem at Transgaming has paid for a license for some of the disk copy protection schemes that some game developers use... Which is why they cannot release source code.

Care to explain how you got that working? I patched to 1.17 and a nocd patch because wine cant find my cdrom but when I try to play on Bnet I get the "unable to validate game version" error.
thats probably because of the nocd patch you installed. I don't understand how Wine wouldn't find your CDROM unless you changed your configuration somewhere down the line.
Did you follow all the directions in Frankscorner to get your WC3 going?
