CVS Cedega + Doom 3 error
I know this is a long shot, but anyone know what this means or how to go about fixing it?
[ken@localhost doom3]$ cvscedega Doom3.exe

err:module:PE_fixup_imports Module (file) GLU32.dll (which is needed by D:\games\doom3\Doom3.exe) not found

That said, you gotta be running an NVidia card. ATI's linux driver will take down your whole system if you try and start up Doom3.
Wait for the Linux Binary to come out, should be only a few weeks from now. ID's under a lot of pressure to deliver (as promised)...
ah, that explains it. I'm using an ATI video card.
I can't even get Doom 3 to work in Windows XP because I'm experiencing major sound stutters. I've tried "everything" and still no fix.
I'm using an NVIDIA card and get the same error as you do man. As a matter of fact, I can't get any game to work with cvscedega. Wine seems to run a few games (including Doom3). Problem is I can't get the sound to work with Wine and Doom3.
Admittedly I didn't follow those install instructions to the letter, I manually installed cedega cvs (I'm not overly trusting of those install scripts). Whats weird is the GLU32.DLL file doesnt exisit in my cedega directory tree ( or anywhere else on my system ).
I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll see if I can reproduce this error.
I managed to get the game running, but my keyboard is just not recognized by cedega, i mean i cannot use the keyboard in the game but i can access the tty (wierd).
I got this error:
fixme:keyboard:X11DRV_KEYBOARD_DetectLayout Your keyboard layout was not found!
Using closest match instead (Latin American keyboard layout) for scancode mapping.
I installed cedega with the installer. How i must do it manually??
I was able to reproduce the error, by renaming libglu32.so in the cedega/lib directory. If this file is missing then cedega was probably built without opengl support. I verified this by rebuilding cedega and specifiying --disable-opengl as a configure option. This would be the first thing to check.

HTH
Mad.
Thanks for looking into this problem! unfortunately, I'm a total newb and don't understand the first thing to check. What should I do? how should I go about this?
the configure script in cedega looks for these files, if they are missing cedega will be built without opengl support.
If these files are missing you will have to install them from your distros install media, I believe the mandrake package is called mesa-common-devel, install it, then re-install cedega.
