Yo just it working fine using the lastest version of wine from winehq.com and lastest cedga (purchased from transgaming).

I just used cedega to install steam then downloaded the counter strike using steam. Be aware though u must use the cedega config file to specify how much ram u have on your video card and how much can cedga use for processing. Setting these settings makes a HUGE difference.

I could barely play on 800x600 before i did it and it was running very slow but afterwards i could play properly with 1024x768 and recommended settings (automatically set) for my card!!

also copy the tahoma.tff file into your fake windows font directory.
Enable freetype fonts within the config file. Run it at max screen resolution if the text is still distorted after copying the font over.

The config file is fully commented so it's idiot proof hopefully

or u could try http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/...p?articleid=32

but thats uses cedega cvs (free) which isn't as powerful as cedega. I recommend cedega. I am sure other members would agree with me

Do you know if a counter strike source back-up can be installed using Cedega and Fedora 4?

Thanks

I dont see why not u could try copying it to your cedega directory. That all installer programs do and perhaps change a few system settings

Well, currently I don't succeed installing Rome3. It begins, but while copying some file gives me "Retry, Abort, Cancel".
I tried R, A, C, but none helped.

Any advise?

Thanks.
