It's a Linux native game. It is 2d, from an overheard view. You shoot tremendous amounts of bugs/aliens as they charge your building and you can use very large machineguns.
There is a game for the PSX I have been looking for, I can't remember the name. I remember the name was something like "darkheart" or "blackheart" but I can't remember. The game was kind of a mix between Abe's Odysee, Monster bash, and Commander keen.
You are a kid genious, you have your own space ship, and a dog called max. Some bad allien doods take away your dog and so you go to try and save him.
You start out with a lightning gun. Then later you get your hand radiated with a glowing green rock, and so can throw green plazma-ish balls.
