can't install games from cd!!

I'm having some problems installing UT and UT2003 from cd. For 2003 when i mount the second disk for installing, it repeatedly asks me to mount the disk (even though it's already mounted). Same thing for UT. I've installed both of these games before without any problems, so i'm really frustrated. (IWANNAPLAYSOBAD!!)

I had to export the path to my cdrom mount point before my UT2003 install would go. You could try that. From a console run:

$ export SETUP_CDROM=<path to cdrom mountpoint>

For example, my cd drive mount point is at /mnt/cdrom so I ran:

$ export SETUP_CDROM=/mnt/cdrom

And then run the installer.

hmm, is your distribution Mandrake? On Mandrake I've found the stupid "supermount" option causes problems. If this is the case, just edit /etc/fstab, and make your cd-rom entry normal.

Make sure you have Joliet driver support for your cdroms enabled in the kernel.
The option should be under Filesystems -->

I missed this and spent two days pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the installer would not read the cdrom after mounting it.
