Battlefield Server

Has anyone run a Battlefield 1942 Server? I heard they cause MAJOR lag. I am goin to be running Slack 9.1 with the BF server and a CS server and possibly another. It is on a AMD +2800 Barton, 512mg DDR3200, on a 5.2k or 7.2k rpm hdd. WOuld I get bad lag with 32 ppl? I am setting this up for a lan at my school in a couple of weeks, and I wont really be there for it. So I need to know to set it up correctly.

I can't answer your question yet, but I am in the process of setting up a BF1942 server to run the dcx mod as well as road to rome.

There are some new server patches around just google for desert combat dedicated server to find a list.

I'm not serving 32 poeple, but I'm running the server on a toshiba P!!! laptop, so if I have no probs, you should be right with your system

I should have an answer for you one way or another in a day or two.
