x86_64 version


Anyone have any tips tricks for building LFS for amd64?

Might wan't to consult the gentoo docs for x86_64. (like what cflags does it recommend, or any other environmental variables it uses). By setting your CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS environmental variables, you could optimize the build of the system ( though the book does not recommend it for certain packages like glibc, gcc, etc...).
