steps to create a new distribution


i need steps to create linux distribution
i have many documents , but they contail commands like genhdlist and package order they r nt worked
so gave me the steps to create a new linux distribution

Let me clear something up for you. You can't just "make" a distro just like that,
1) Try remastring a Live-CD like Knopix or DSL.
2) Try LFS (linux from Scratch).
3) Come back here and ask that again.

"genhdlist"? Sounds like something relating to Gentoo or one of its derivitives. Try LFS, it's not easy, but you'll learn a lot! Trial and error and hands-on learning go a long way with Linux. Trust me!

The thing is not that simple...

Dear as you have asked for making a new distro... I doubt that... Just do some work before that like... Try to do work on the System Programming Core... Moreover use cool disks to try the distro beginning...Take Cares
