Question Problem with LFS and reboot/turnoff pc

Hi LinuQuestions
Sorry for my english, but i speak spanish.
I was all day today trying LFS, turn off the pc, then went back to turnon with the LFS livecd ... but it's as if he had started from scratch. I can not access to $ LFS, etc.
The partitions are you miss, but I can not access to $ LFS (/ mnt / lfs) ...
What is this, do I have to start over?
Before turning off the computer, do I have to save the changes, how?

Thanks and again sorry for my English.

Greetings!

Hi,

In addition to what spiky0011 said: You also need to re-create the lfs user (most of chapter 4).

All steps in order:
- chapter 2.4
- from chapter 4.1 -> export LFS=/mnt/lfs
- from chapter 4.2 -> ln -sv $LFS/tools /
- chapter 4.3
- chapter 4.4

A liveCD is a read-only medium and changes to it will be lost once you reboot. Changes made to the $LFS partition on the other hand are safe.

BTW: Which LFS version are you building? I do hope you noticed the big red banner on the LFS liveCD page....

Hope this helps.
