newbie question /dev/mapper/lfs-cd

Hello,

During the install of gcc-4.0.3 pass 1 i get the error disk full.
When i do a df -h i get the following:

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use Mounted on
/dev/mapper/lfs-cd 1.5G 1.5G 0 100% /
/dev/hdb4 92G 189M 87G 1% /mnt/lfs

What is it what i'am doing wrong?

I took the packages from the directory lfs-sources en unpacked it. Is it possible that i have to copy it first to a folder?
I don't know where the 1.5G comes from. Can it be the RAM Memory?

Hello !

The best thing to do is to copy all the packages (or at least those you want) to a new directory on your LFS filesystem ... /mnt/lfs/sources, for example ...
