must e2fsprogs and util-linux ng also be in a package system

Hello,

I decided to use the slackware package system but I have one question.

Must I use the slackware package system when installing these two files ?

Hi,

I am not familiar with the slackware package system, however, the question that you need to answer first is, why would you ommit those two packages from being "package managed"? Do you foresee a conflict with the slackware package system or in general?

The only reason I see to exclude packages from the package manager is when building the toolchain. I don't see significant benefits there.
