mktemp


Hello,

For the slackware package system I need mktemp.

Which package does provide this ?

But I wonder why core-utils does not provide this.
According to the homepage of mktemp coreutils can also provide this package

Hm... you're right. And according to chapter 6.22 (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/...coreutils.html) it should be in coreutils. Did you get an error while trying to build? It should have been installed with coreutils so I do not see any problem regarding the package manager.

Wierd,

According to this page (http://cross-lfs.org/view/1.1.0/x86_...coreutils.html ) not.

Im building a CLFS pure 64 build.

So it seems that in version 6.9 mktemp is not provided by coreutils. So I guess you'll have to build it seperately. The simple
Code:
./configure --prefix=/tools
make
make install
should suffice. Not sure about the dependencies though. You'll just have to try.
