LFS on 64-bit AMD

I have dowloaded the book LFS 6.2. It describes the main procedures for instaling LFS on x86 chipsets. I have an AMD 64-bit system so an x64 chipset. Is it possible for me to install LFS on this system using this book. Or do I need a different manual. I am currently new to Linux I know something about it and tried some popular GUI distros but I want to learn every bit of info about it. Thats why I am into LFS, but I really do not want to struggle with very boring and time consuming troubles because of chipsets or so.

Thanks

LFS is fine if you don't mind using a 32 bit system, which will work fine btw. If you want to set up a 64 bit system or a multilib system then you want CLFS.
