Exclamation i want to make my distribution

Hi everyone there,

I want to make my distribution
I have tried that LFS that is fine and cool
But whole of that procedure is to be done manually

can u guys there tell me how to automate it and to put it in a bootable CD

and have something like install which does all the work by itself without manual intervention

From the sounds of it, you guys might have some luck looking at:
www.gentoo.org

If you've looked at ALFS and it's not for you, maybe gentoo is. It's not quite as hands on as LFS, but does a decent job at getting you to the point where LFS leaves off and BLFS takes over (with a stage 1 tarball)

Cool

in that case you have to write scripts ( perl) to do the detection of the hardware ( more importantly the hdd) and then write the whole thing in a CD and make it bootable.

RE: XMMS and MP3s

Red Hat does not ship with MP3 support in any form. Go to The XMMS Website and download the Red Hat MP3 plugin for XMMS.
