gnome-shell undefined symbol: gvc-channel-map-get-type

I am trying to compile Gnome-Shell-40.5 on my LinuxFromScratch box, but keeping getting the following error:

/usr/src/gnome-shell-40.5/build/tmp-introspectr58mnoox/Gvc-1.0: symbol lookup error: /usr/src/gnome-shell-40.5/build/tmp-introspectr58mnoox/Gvc-1.0: undefined symbol: gvc_channel_map_get_type Command '['/usr/src/gnome-shell-40.5/build/tmp-introspectr58mnoox/Gvc-1.0', '--introspect-dump=/usr/src/gnome-shell-40.5/build/tmp-introspectr58mnoox/functions.txt,/usr/src/gnome-shell-40.5/build/tmp-introspectr58mnoox/dump.xml']' returned non-zero exit status 127

Do you have any idea, what I could be missing?

Gnome building isnt a beginner DE but i'll venture a guess. Gnome control center and/or GSDaemon didnt build right and likely some of it's deps. Have to pay attn to pkgs config output for clues. I've built Gnome every 6 months or so for years.

Thanks for your answer. I managed to find the root cause. Graphviz is producing also a library libgvc. Same name, but different library. This caused the issue.

Interesting. I did not know that. I build graphiz fairly dep sparse for vala because I dont use any of it's fonts. Never had an issue. YW.
