Hi,

You (lfs_rocks) mention that you had some problems with glibc during the 'make check' stage. After you figured out what went wrong, did you delete both the $LFS/sources/glibc-* dirs and restart with a clean source and build tree?

If things go wrong during the build fases it is always a good idea to start with a fresh source tree after you figured out what went wrong. If you don't there's the possibility that some undesired stuff is left behind.

My advice: delete both glibc-2.5.1 and glibc-build directories, unpack glibc and start with the beginning of 5.6. Glibc-2.5.1.

If that doesn't help, retrace your steps for the previous chapters and try to find out if you missed something.

Hope this helps.
