coreutils error while running make check


I am following chapter 5.19 and using this command to check the compilation. make RUN_EXPENSIVE_TESTS=yes check. Details about the host system is given below.
operating system : ubuntu 16.04
kernel version : 4.4.0-97
gcc version : 5.4.0

According to the Book, two tests are known to fail. You have only three failures altogether, which means only one truly unexpected failure. I would ignore it if I were you.

Hi
It is mentioned that tests fail in Ch 5 and are more of a waste of time, as they will be over written in ch6
