Build LFS 64 bit on multilib Slackware64-current

I am running Slackware64-current with multilib gcc installed. Described here.

Is it still possible to build LFS as a pure 64 bit system with this sort of host system?

Should I convert the host system back to pure 64 bit in order to build a 64 bit LFS installation?

Very possible.

Remember, 32-bit only activates when you run 32dev.sh in a terminal or the exact application.

You can build it no problem.

Built my first LFS on multilib Slackware no problems except the usual noob problems configuring the kernel.
