Basic Dependency Order Question

If pkg. A has a required dependency of pkg. B, and pkg. B has a required dependency of pkg. C, is it imperative to install in the order of C-B-A?
I hope the answer is not "it depends"!

In a binary distro, these are typically runtime dependencies such as libraries, so they are needed for running the package but not for installing it. Therefore the order of installation does not really matter. Typically though, the package you actually requested will be installed last, after its dependencies.

In LFS and other source-based distros, dependencies may be needed for the actual build. Then the order matters more. BLFS always lists the required and recommended dependencies for building a package and these need to be installed in advance.
