Hey Terry,
I reinstalled everything in alsa didn't see any errors and it still can't find it.
Strange stuff going on. Trying to figure out why its installing but not working.
Make sure your sound chip matches the correct kernel driver. You didnt say what chip your board has so repost with that info and the kern drvs you have enabled.
I found the chip set for the MB . It's REALTEK AL887-VD -8-CH. It's not listed
in the kernel sound config. Guess I have to wait for the linux-firmware to catch up.
Finally got it. Built this with 9.0 systemd rc-1. Reinstalled kernel from 9.0 stable
and it found my soundcard. Reinstalled alsa and pulseaudio and it worked.
