problems configuring email server in RHEL 4

hi people,

I am running RHEL 4 wth sendmail as my MTA and dovecot as IMAP and POP3 server. SMPT, POP3 and IMAP are all working fine when I test it thru telnet. Mails are stored on /var/mail and I have edited dovecot.conf to reflect that. However, when I check emails thru an email client, I dont receive anything. But when I check emails thru mail or mutt, there are messages in my inbox. What could be wrong?

Also, when i send email to user@domain.com, the user receives that mail but when he replies, he replies as user@mail.domain.com (mail.domain.com is the FQDN of my server). Will it cause any problems in the future?

Any help would be well-appreciated. Thanks

What MTA are you using? You can edit your configs if you want it to show up as user@domain.com instead of user@mail.domain.com

Code:
define(`confDOMAIN_NAME', `domain.com')dnl
For Sendmail, I believe this is the line that goes into your sendmail.mc file to make sure that domain.com is only used.
