Hey Fellas, I have an unentitled RHEL5 box and I need to bring it up to Update5.1. I have a valid RHEL login...how do I get to update5.1 aka RHEL5.1 without having an entitlment?
Umm, you don't through Red Hat's updates through RHN. My only suggestion is you convert to use something like the CentOS mirrors and point your yum repositories that way to update.
what you can do, and lots of people do that - remove entitlement from the box that you have the RHN license for. Register the box you want to update, and run the update
but I'd simply use CentOS, if I were looking for freebies like this.
