kernal parameter syslevel 9


how do i Configure my system so that ,when it boot it should automatically get syslevel 9 and when you run cat /proc/cmdline it must show syslevel=9.

i have entered syslevel 9 at the end of kernal line in /etc/grub.conf but now i am not able to boot?? please help

Hi,

What do you mean by syslevel 9?

Too my knowledge syslevel doesn't exist, do you mean runlevel?
Also there is no level 9.... Levels used are 0 -> 6 and s (or S/single). Have a look at the init and runlevel man pages for details.

even i am not able to understand but this is the question of RHCE exam. and it is syslevel 9 not rumlevel

Well, you've put me in a rather difficult position..... The RHCSA/RHCE exams have an NDA (None Disclosure Agreement) one has to sign and Red Hat is very (!) strict about this.
