I am working on iMx515 processor!which is provided with BSP by freescale!
But out of three available UART ports one is used for console in the eval board! I have created a customized uart driver for which I need all 3 UART ports!
So I have to disable the console!
For which I have done the following steps!
1. Changed the Uboot arguments as console=null
2. in /etc/inittab commented ::respawn:/sbin/getty -L ttymxc1 115200 vt100
3. the default serial driver support of freescale is disabled!
Now the problem is as soon as soon as I initialize the customised serial driver and release the IRQ of console port continuously 0 is received!
In a status register bits RRDY (Received data ready bit) and RXDS (Receiver IDLE Interrupt Flag) both are set. But both are contradicting each other!
Since RRDY is enabled to rise a IRQ, driver is keep reading the FIFO which has no data! I probed the Receiver pin which is idle
I hope I explained the problem clearly! If anybody have similar experience or any idea, Please share it with me! It will be a great help!
FYI:
The same driver is functioning properly on other ports. Only on console port this problem comes!
Which enterprise linux are you running ?
It appears to me that your driver is not taking account of the fact that whatever is running on that board thinks there is a console. Simply removing the driver does not remove the need for a driver.
Making posts repeatedly to tell the OP to drop using exclamation marks should not be necessary either. Telling him or her once should suffice. Please focus on answering the questions instead, if possible, as it skews the S/N ratio out of true.

I told him once, he didn't understand what I meant, so I explained.
Is that allowed ?
