X server woes

I successfully made a debian-arm rootfs that boots. Now I'm trying to get the xorg x server running but its not working.

After running startx (or xinit) I get these messages (cant copy & paste so just what seems relevent):

unable to open socket for inet6
open failed for inte6/myhost:0
failed to open listener for inet6

xf86PciVideoInfo is not set
Could not get primary PCI info

Caught Signal: 11. Server aborting

Thing is, this is an s3c2410 with no PCI bus (if thats what Pci refers to above).

Any ideas what I'm missing? If more info is needed, let me know and I'll try to find it after work.

I figured it out. Although installing all the xorg and matchbox stuff did give me an /etc/X11/xorg.conf it only put in skeletal information (no devices) and didn't make any screen or monitor entries. A google on "arm xorg.conf" netted me a config from an at91 that was complete and only needed some minor changes.

Even better, I finally read up on udev and got it working properly and then when I installed X it automagically filled in all the required information. It also fixed problems I had with matchbox/xfce4 which I assume were missing /dev entries.

Cool, can you recommend a good website for learning udev? I'm having the same issues...
