Looking for a cheap board with IPMI or Intel AMT for remote power control.

Hi,

Are there any low cost boards that have IPMI or Intel AMT? Specifically, I need to be able to issue IPMI or AMT power commands to remotely power the node up/down. I'm considering using multiple boards to create a cheap home lab environment for OpenStack.

MaaS (Metal as a Service) needs remote power control: https://maas.ubuntu.com/docs/power-d...abilities.html

MaaS link you referred states power control is supported but it doesn't say required. I think you can get away with installing it on hardware which doesn't support remote power control.

Yes it's not "required" by MaaS, but the code I'm hacking into it does require it. I did find that the Intel NUC with i5 has vPro (AMT), although it's not exactly low cost at $350 each.
