I'm not to sure about the '1525' but video drivers may give you fits. It's probably a 'ATI 200M/1150' not sure. But you're not going to get 'DRI' to work fully if the chipset in your laptop has support dropped which most have been for the older 'ATI' chipsets.
Thanks to All, Hi repo i have gone through that website already , in their statistics all devices drivers either they are not support with linux or they didn't test with linux that's why i have asked this question. if someone who have installed linux in inspiron 1525 please let me know the dirstro and version.
You can install just about any distro. The direct rendering will be a problem but you can use a 'FB' or 'vesa' depending on distro. With a little work and luck you may get the 'dri' working. But that will depend on the chipset. Do a 'lspci -vv' from a LiveCD to see the information. You can try something like 'KNOPPIX' to see if things can/will be recognized properly.
This link and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links'. More than just SlackwareŽ links!
