what live distro for apple?

Hi!
I'd like to know if there is a live linux distribution which works on an apple/mac?
I have a friend which "loves" apple, but he got surprised when I told him about live distros. I would like to show him the power of linux
Can someone help me?
tia

I meant a distro which boots from CD and doesn't need to write anything on the hard disk (something like Knoppix, slax, MandrakeMove ...)
