I notice that KDE.org has binary packages of KDE3 for SuSE 7.3. However, I am clueless as to how to determine which of these packages I need to upgrade my particular install of KDE. I did not install every program nor every option that KDE had to offer. Should I just download and install ALL of the binaries that KDE.org is offering? Is there a place I can get some reference material on how to determine which packages to download and install?
Can you give a little more detail on the steps you took on installing KDE 3.0? How did you download them with Yast? How did you install them with Yast?
I installed KDE via RPM on the console. I had to force the installation because of dep problems but everytime I start KDE it starts version 2.2.1 not 3.0.
Can you give advice on how to get KDE 3.0 to load up?
