Im reading a the Linux Bible about using RPMFIND utility. I try to use it on my RH 7.2 box,
it doesnt work. I find it is not installed so I go download it. I try to install it with rpm -i command:
It says Im missing 3 files : librpm4.0.4.so, librpmdb4.0.4.so, and librpmio4.0.4.so. I looked on my CD..
they arent there. I look on RH site, I cant find them. I run up2date....they arent listed in the recommended
updates.
How can I get the files I need so I can run RPMFIND?
Im also having a similar problem with SWAT...I have samba running and am trying to download swat
from :http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...php?query=swat
but Im having problems with not having the correct supporting files and libraries. Could it be that Im
trying to download and install from the wrong directory (/tmp) ?
I usually download to the /tmp directory and install my RPM's from there they install to the appropriate directory's there are different RPM's for version distro's pherhaps your trying the wrong ones try Samba.org thats my
source for the latest on Samba
